When deciding on a location for our upcoming editorial, we hoped for a venue that would tell a story rich in its’ history with a complimenting and beautiful estate. Upon my visit to VIZCAYA, I immediately fell in love with the formal Italian style. It felt like we were in another world and certainly not in our own backyard in Miami, Florida.
Drawing inspiration from the venue’s Baroque appearance and meticulously maintained gardens was at the forefront of our approach. We wanted to pair the old world Italian culture and aesthetic with fresh modern-day romance. Her dress, sheer and bending to our bride’s every movement provided a soft texture, long lines, and a sultry yet elegant demeanour. And the wings of this classic INES DE SANTO gown were the perfect touch. The bride’s playfulness matched with the old world Italian aesthetic was captivating and fresh.
Complimenting flawlessly was the detailed laser-cut paper suite with pressed flowers by Emily Baird Design. Her approach to including a custom venue illustration and a wonderfully playful envelope liner, sourced from Italy, brought the details together impeccably!
Each of these beautiful photos compliments of the amazing team of vendors! None of which could have been completed without their dedication to this project. A special thank you to Amy at Magnolia Rouge for featuring this editorial. We are honored to have worked with each of the vendors listed below!
What feels like yesterday, our team came together with some of our favorite people to showcase The Orlo, Tampa’s newest wedding venue, The Orlo. This historic three story home that was built in 1882 by Orlo J. Spafford for his family became the home to the Tampa Women’s Club in 1922 and now sits today as Tampa’s premier event venue, boasting a beautiful 2800 square ft ballroom behind the home with many charming details kept throughout.
I first came upon this venue with our friends at Saltblock Catering and immediately fell in love! Under it’s heavy construction was a venue so fabulous, I knew South Tampa was in for an amazing new space, unlike any other in Tampa’s vastly growing city.
So what did we do…..well, we teamed up with Still Floral and The Ganey’s along with many other talented vendors to create an editorial full of lush details of apricot and dusty rose florals with greenery details throughout. The vision was stunning for a spring wedding in a southern bungalow home nestled in the heart of South Tampa. Boasting of sweet southern details of a charming venue, a grand staircase, soft textures and floral detail, romantic hand written invitations and vintage stamps! – OH, how could I forget? We made sure to include lots of great food detail as well! After all, it’s what truly steals our hearts every time! Our French inspired shoot at Palmetto Bed and Breakfast was the inspiration behind the color palate and the French theme! Everything that Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast offered, from the incredible food menu to the beautiful and intimate details throughout this historic venue, was telling of the owners own personal European style, impeccable. The historic Bed and Breakfast is known for its intimate and classic ambiance and was the perfect place to showcase this French Inspired Bed and Breakfast
Simplicity is sometimes all you need. I am a true believer that every detail is so personal and important, right down to the font on a page. Invitations are the first of many details your guests will experience. This simple detail is the very window to their experience the day of your wedding. Lindsay, of Writefully Simple always does such a wonderful job of capturing that detail perfectly.
The color palette is refreshingly open and everything feels so natural and lovely. Get your french on and see Oh so many fantastic French wedding ideas in our gallery, photographed by Heather Lauren Photography.

We are LIVE again and the new website and blog for weddings are in Full Swing with this romantic southern wedding inspiration!!! Hooray! We could not be more excited to share this feature production with you! Located at one of my favorite venues, Baker’s Ranch! This beautifully rustic ranch is perfectly nestled amid the towering oaks of Parrish, Florida. It is the perfect oasis for anycelebratoryoccasion, including our favorite occasion – Weddings!!!
The inspiration for this wedding styled shoot came directly from my own rebranding process. I recently decided it was time to take on a completely new approach for my Wedding and Event Planning and Design company! In doing so, I knew I wanted to connect with the foundation of who I am and where I am from. As a girl raised in the heart of North Carolina, I wanted to ensure a sweet southern elegance and charm, paired with touches of old south romance and sparkle! I knew Baker’s Ranch was the perfect location and I couldn’t have asked for more hospitable hosts than Boris and Alla.
This set was put together by many talented vendors. Early on, I contacted Rina of Rina Kay Photography to be my right hand in this production. She beautifully captured all of the details of the shoot! I have admired her as a photographer and knew she would be the perfect fit in capturing a beautiful and timeless romance!
The invitation suite was designed by Lindsay of Writefully Simple! I knew when I went to her for the project she would undoubtedly understand my vision for a whimsical romance underneath the cascading oaks. The menu looks as delicious as ever – I could grab a fork as we speak!! And speaking of fork, what pairs better than a bamboo spoon for our feature favor than The Cake Zone‘s very own Little Tipsy Cakes? If you’ve never tried these spoonfuls of Heaven, you need to stop what you are doing right now and just make it happen! I can’t rave enough about them!
Our bride wore a stunning Amsale wedding gown provided by Calvet Couture Sarasota of Sarasota, Florida. The ruched bodice couldn’t have fit our bride more perfectly! The florals for today’s feature provided a lush and whimsical layer, full of color and wrapped in soft silk ribbon, elegantly designed by Still Floral.

How beautiful is the craftsmanship on this tasty latte? This company is growing fast and caters to all of your wedding day coffee needs!
There are so many fabulous details! And we just couldn’t do a southern wedding inspired shoot without completing it with an outstanding bottle of bourbon… the wooden bar is hand crafted and compliments of Baker’s Ranch!
I was so excited to accentuate this bride and groom wedding suite! And isn’t it the perfect place for a photo opp if you are foregoing the ever-so-popular first look?
