Intimate and Romantic Wedding | St. Petersburg, Florida | The Dali Museum

Kristina + George
The Dali Museum | St Petersburg, Florida
December 3rd

Romantic and modern were the two words Kristina and George used when speaking about their wedding. They chose The Dali Museum in St Petersburg, FL because it symbolized so many features of their lives together. From the scenic bay waterfront marina, just around the corner from their home, to the industrial and strikingly modern features of the museum, they knew they had found the exact spot they wanted to vow to spend the rest of their lives together.

One of Kristina’s favorite features from her wedding was her Romona Keveza wedding gown from Isabel O’Neil Bridal, complete with an asymmetrical design and an illusion skirt, which added the perfect touch to their candlelit evening ceremony.

Kristina and her family got ready at the relaxing and beautiful Vinoy Renaissance Resort in St Petersburg, FL, where they spent their morning sipping on champagne and enjoying the beautiful Florida views. It was a perfect day in December, followed by a crisp evening full of dancing and cocktails!

From the beginning, Kristina and George wanted to have an intimate and meaningful celebration with all of their closest friends and family, so it was important to relay that in every detail. To capture it all, finding the perfect photographer, who understood their style and personality was key. Jason Mize Photography turned out to be the perfect fit and the moments he captured and the way in which he told their story is nothing short of incredible!

Because the very first glimpse that guests have into any wedding is the invitation suite, we wanted to ensure the design captured the bride and groom and their wishes for a modern and very romantic wedding. Blush Design Studio sourced specialty paper with fine deckled edges and paired it with a modern geometric design, copper string and sealed it all with a custom K+G wax seal.

There were so many guests flying into St Petersburg from all over the country that this couple spent countless hours with our team fine tuning the details so their guests had an incredible experience. From the beginning, Kristina and George began writing love letters to each of their family and friends, that would later be turned into their escort display. It’s still one of our favorite details to date. Anytime you can turn your wedding into a meaningful experience for your guests, it truly makes the biggest impact on how they remember your wedding.

Our team worked diligently to source specialty handmade paper and began early in the process of turning these love letters into elegant pieces with copper calligraphy that their guests would forever keep as a memory of this sweet couples’ wedding. During the cocktail hour, guests were invited to open their letters, to say that each and every person was surprised and deeply moved by the love shared that day is an understatement.

We then carried that same design and concept throughout their reception and table design. FH Weddings played such a beautiful part in this, styling with lush ivory Peonies, Garden Roses and pops of beautiful Anemone in Kristina’s bouquet and throughout the ceremony and reception design. All of which paired wonderfully with the candlelight ceremony and featuring a custom built ceremony structure. Leading into the reception, were tables laid with metallic infinity linens, copper flatware and beautiful crystal china.

The entire wedding was magical and perfectly dressed for an elegant evening under the stars. From the ceremony decor to the 4 tier geometric and Dali inspired wedding cake from Hands on Sweets, there was no detail left untouched, as everything came together perfectly.
